What is that big bright thing I see in the sky today?  It’s been so cold and gloomy around New England that I almost forgot what the sun felt like.  Looking ahead at this week’s forecasted rising temperatures, I can’t help but sit at my desk and dream of being on the beach.  Lucky for this family, no day dreaming is necessary.  They just need to step outside! When this North Hampton NH inn-keeping family contacted me to take their family portraits, I jumped at the chance to capture them in their “backyard.”  As I made the hour drive to North Hampton from my home, the sun was shining.  There were blue skies as far as the eye could see.  I have lived near the ocean long enough to know that it has a way of being unpredictable and mysterious.  By the time I pulled into the Inn’s driveway, a layer of fog had moved in so deep that I could barely see my arm in front of me.  Not to worry, I assured the family.  We would make beautiful images with whatever mother nature gave us.  And that we did…
